Wenger: Recession will hit football

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has warned “football will suffer” because of the global financial crisis.

The Premier League’s current domestic television deals will expire at the end of the 2009-10 season and Wenger fears broadcasters may be unwilling to invest as heavily in sport in the future as they have over recent years.
