Bruce to captain Ireland for Notts Forest friendly

Republic of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni has named his starting 11 to face Nottingham Forest in tomorrow evening's challenge match at Dalymount Park.

Ipswich Town's Alex Bruce will captain the side - his first time wearing the armband since skippering the Ireland B team during Steve Staunton's reign.

Caleb Folan sat out this morning's training session at Malahide, but is included in the starting line-up.

Trapattoni has also confirmed that Anthony Stokes and Darren Gibson will play despite not being named in the team.
