Aston Villa striker John Carew is not travelling to Bulgaria for the club’s UEFA Cup tie against Litex Lovech.

Norwegian international Carew injured his ankle in last night’s 2-1 win over Tottenham at White Hart Lane and will remain in Birmingham for treatment.
