Guthrie to offer personal apology to Fagan

Under-fire Newcastle midfielder Danny Guthrie will attempt to apologise to Craig Fagan in person after discovering he broke the Hull striker’s leg at the weekend.

The Tigers confirmed last night that Fagan suffered a fractured right tibia in the crunching challenge which earned Guthrie a straight red card in the dying moments of Hull’s shock 2-1 win at St James’ Park.
