Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri will have his ankle injury assessed before a decision is made whether he travels with the rest of the squad to Ukraine for the Champions League clash against Dynamo Kiev.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger also had Gael Clichy and Emmanuel Eboue pick up slight knocks during the Premier League win at Blackburn at the weekend, although Mikael Silvestre has been earmarked for a return after a minor setback in his recovery from a thigh complaint.

Dynamo coach Yuri Semin watched Emmanuel Adebayor score a hat-trick at Ewood Park but insists he will not man-mark the striker on Wednesday in the Group G clash at Valeri Lobanovsky Stadium.

“We knew very well prior to this the capabilities of the Arsenal forward,” said Semin.

“But we will not be putting a man-marker on him. Adebayor plays all over the pitch, and in every zone there will be one of our players to meet him.”

Adebayor was handed his third goal from the penalty spot when Robin van Persie stood aside from his usual spot-kick duties.

“I like the fact that Van Persie gave him the penalty,” said Wenger.

“I believe this shows that the team has a collective spirit and everybody can score.”
