Zayed brace takes points for Drogheda
Finn Harps 1 Drogheda United 3
Eamon Zayed scored twice as Drogheda got their hopes of qualifying for next season's UEFA Cup back on track at Finn Park.
Harps enjoyed much of the early possession but it was Drogheda who snatched the lead on the break on 19 minutes.
Keeper Jamie Ewings kick out was not dealt with by the Harps' defence with Marc Mokundi's clearance striking team-mate Jonathan Minnock to run for Zayed, who shot home.
Harps conceded again within three minutes when Ollie Cahill outpaced Aaron Labonte down the left to square the ball and present striker Guy Bates with a simple tap in.
Zayed added his second on 34 minutes when finishing off Richie Baker's super run and cross.
Harps had midfielder Neil McCafferty sent off on 64 minutes before striker Stephen Parkhouse got their consolation goal from a penalty four minutes later.
