Myler goal forces replay

Andy Myler scored for the second match running to earn Bray an FAI Ford Cup quarter-final replay back at the Carlisle Grounds on Tuesday.

Veteran striker Myler equalised Marc McCulloch's first-half opener on 63 minutes when firing home at the back post after Kevin Doherty flicked on captain Alan Calwey's corner.

John Russell shot an Alan Keane cross off a post inside two minutes as Galway started positively.

Bray rode out the early pressure and ex-Galway midfielder Daryl Robson shot over before Ger Rowe fired wide on 25 minutes.

But Galway deservedly went in front right on half-time when left-back Marc McCullouch's long-range drive deflected off Gavin Whelan.
