Last minute goal keeps Linfield top in Setanta Cup

Jamie Mulgrew scored a last minute equaliser to keep Linfield top of Setanta Sports Cup Group 2 on goals scored.

Saints' were the better side in the first half and took the lead on 40 minutes when Mark Quigley beat the offside trap to race clear and cross for Keith Fahey to score with a downward header.

But Blues dominated the second half with Noel Bailie forcing a top save from Barry Ryan before William Murphy headed against the bar and had his follow-up cleared off the line by Stephen Brennan.

The pressure finally told on 89 minutes when Blues deservedly levelled with Mulgrew's drilled shot following a free-kick deflected to the net.
