Mark Farren scored for the fourth game running as Derry moved up to second in Setanta Sports Cup Group 2.

Farren struck to seal Derry's win on 88 minutes when scooping home the rebound after Glens' keeper Elliott Morris could only parry a fierce shot from Niall McGinn.

Despite Michael Halliday missing a sitter on 26 minutes when shooting straight at Ger Doherty, Derry were the better side and deserved their lead when it came on 35 minutes.

Ruadhri Higgins was taken down by defender Kenny Black just outside the area. Higgins took the free-kick himself, lifting the ball over the wall and into the net.
