Eamon Zayed scored a brilliant goal and set-up the third as Drogheda eased into the semi-finals of the Setanta Sports Cup.

Dominant from early on with Guy Bates, Richie Baker and Shane Robinson all having chances, Drogheda took a deserved lead on 28 minutes.

Ollie Cahill and Robinson worked the ball to midfielder Adam Hughes who shot home off the foot of a post.

Substitute then Zayed clinically punished a mistake by Marc McCann to turn two defenders before firing a left foot shot to the top corner from the edge of the box to double Drogheda's lead on 74 minutes.

Drogheda rubberstamped their win with a third goal two minutes from time when Zayed set-up Cahill to drill home from 20 yards.
