Win takes Cobh off the bottom
Cobh Ramblers 4 Galway United 1
A first win in eleven games since they last won - against Galway - saw Cobh leapfrog the Tribesmen off the foot of the Premier Division table.
Ray Lally scored a stunning 30-yard drive to give Cobh the lead five minutes into the second half.
Ross Gaynor then shot through the legs of Galway keeper Gary Rogers to double Cobh's lead seven minutes later.
Iarflaith Davoren pulled a goal back for Galway with a close range finish on 63 minutes.
But Cobh restored their two-goal advantage within a minute when John Kearney shot home from inside the area with Daryl Kavanagh adding the fourth on 84 minutes to give Ramblers their biggest win of the season.
