Cork face Derry in FAI Cup quarter-finals

The draw for the quarter-finals of the FAI Cup has been made tonight.

FAI Ford Cup holders Cork City will have to overcome Derry City in this year's competition after being drawn against the Candystripes in the quarter-finals.

Elsewhere, Premier Division league leaders Bohemians were drawn against Wayside Celtic, the last remaining non-league team in the competition.

Terryland Park will see an all-Premier Division clash after Galway United were drawn at home to Bray Wanderers, while First Division Sporting Fingal were drawn at home to St. Patrick's Athletic.

The ties will be played over the weekend ending September 14.

The final of this year’s FAI Ford Cup will be held on Sunday, November 23at the RDS.

The draw is as follows:

Cork City V Derry City

Galway United V Bray Wanderers

Sporting Fingal V St Patrick's Athletic

Wayside Celtic V Bohemians.
