Deery winner sends Students into relegation zone

Kevin Deery hit a cracking winner as Derry beat UCD for the third time this season.

The midfielder shot home from the edge of the area from influential winger Niall McGinn's pass on 68 minutes.

That added to Mark Farren's opening goal 13 minutes earlier when the striker latched onto Sammy Morrow's flick to side foot past Matt Gregg.

Substitute Greg Bolger pulled a goal back for UCD on 79 minutes, but it wasn't enough to avoid defeat and see College slip back into the relegation zone for the first time in six weeks.
