Harris may miss out for Pat's

St Patrick's Athletic entertain Sligo Rovers in Sunday's eircom League of Ireland Premier Division clash at Richmond Park, kick-off 8.00pm.

Captain Jamie Harris is a major doubt for Pat’s having taken a knock in training.

And Saints boss John McDonnell also waits on the fitness of defender Dessie Byrne who suffered a hamstring strain prior to the UEFA Cup game with IF Elfsborg last week.

Derek O’Brien, Glen Fitzpatrick (both ankle) and Dave Partridge are also out, although Partridge is expected to resume full contact training next week as he recovers from a wrist injury.

Saints welcome back Jason Gavin who was cup tied for last Sunday’s 3-1 FAI Cup defeat of Wexford Youths.

Also back in contention is Gary O’Neill who hasn’t started a game since the defeat of Bray Wanderers on 20 June due to a groin injury.

Apart from the long-term injury of Matthew Judge and the suspension of Danny Ventre Sligo Rovers manager Paul Cook has a full squad to choose from.
