Ireland squad flies to Norway for Oslo friendly

The Republic of Ireland squad is flying to Norway tonight ahead of Wednesday's friendly clash in Oslo.

Speaking ahead of the departure, manager Giovanni Trapattoni said it was important to produce a good performance ahead of the upcoming friendly against Georgia and Montenegro.

Meanwhile, Stephen Reid says he is in a confident mood ahead of the game after returning from international retirement to take his place in the squad.

He hasn't played for Ireland since the 1-0 defeat to Germany in Stuttgart almost two years ago.
