Barton admits violent conduct

Newcastle midfielder Joey Barton has admitted a charge of violent conduct relating to an incident involving the then Manchester City player’s team-mate Ousmane Dabo.

The incident happened at City’s Carrington training ground on May 1 2007, prior to Barton’s £5.8m move to St James’ Park in June last year.
