Drogs host Bray

Drogheda United entertain Bray Wanderers in tonight's eircom League of Ireland Premier Division clash at United Park, kick-off 7.45pm.

For Bray, Alan Cawley, Gavin Whelan and Aidan O'Keefe will all miss the trip to Drogheda.

Alan Cawley and Gavin Whelan are suspended, while new signing Aidan O'Keefe cannot play because of the loan agreement with Drogheda.

Captain Colm Tresson, who has missed Bray's last ten games with a hamstring injury, is back in the squad.

Daryl Robson (ankle), Derek Pender (knee) and Paddy Kavanagh (back) are carrying knocks but are expected to recover in time for the trip to Drogheda.

Manager Eddie Gormley said: "We didn't play well last week. It was probably our poorest performance of the season.

"We did, however, create some very good chances in the second half. The week before last we dominated the game and got nothing. It turned full circle last week and we got three points from a game we probably didn't deserves to win. That's football."

Drogheda manager Paul Doolin is expected to welcome back Brian Shelley and Shane Barrett, both of whom made appearances in Tuesday night's first leg.

"We should have Brian back in the squad, and hopefully Shane too. Otherwise, he'll be back next week," said Doolin.

Long-term injury Dan Connor is still unavailable and Shane Robinson will be absent for another few weeks, but Doolin is happy to welcome back Shelley and Barrett.

He added: "It's great to have the lads back. They're two big players for us and they can make a difference when they're in the team."

Doolin also suggested that after Tuesday's tough encounter, and with another game next week, he may make some changes to his side.

He said: "It's a good chance to make a few changes, with the game on Tuesday and then away next week.

"It's been a great week, but our focus has to be on getting points on the board and pushing for a European spot again next season."
