Aston Villa will find out on Friday whether they can sign their second goalkeeper in the space of five days when Brad Guzan has his application for a work permit considered by the British Home Office.

Villa agreed earlier this month to sign Guzan from Major Soccer League side Chivas USA in a deal believed to be worth around £2m.
