Blatter intervenes in Olympics row

FIFA president Sepp Blatter has stepped in to try to head off a growing revolt by clubs over the release of players for the Olympic tournament in Beijing.

Blatter today sent a letter to all member associations saying the release of players aged 23 or under is mandatory for the Olympics.
