Rovers ease past bottom-of-the-table UCD

Goals from Tadhg Purcell and Padraig Amond eased the pressure on Shamrock Rovers as goal-shy UCD remain rooted in the relegation zone.

Purcell struck for the lead on 29 minutes when bundling the ball home after Matt Gregg would only parry a shot from Darragh Maguire.

Amond sealed the win on 62 minutes when stooping low to head home Sean O'Connor's corner from the right.
