Redknapp savours Crouch transfer coup

Manager Harry Redknapp admits even he did not believe new signing Peter Crouch was within Portsmouth’s grasp when he originally identified him as a transfer target.

The England striker today became the latest big-name signing to join Redknapp on the south coast, where he will begin a second spell having played for the club in 2001/02.
