Derry must plan without Morrisson

Derry City entertain Bray Wanderers in tonight's eircom League of Ireland Premier Division clash at the Brandywell, kick-off 7.45pm.

Derry boss Stephen Kenny must plan without Owen Morrisson who is recovering from a knee injury. The midfielder is back in training but is still some way off full fitness.

Steven Grey is also struggling with a knee injury and will undergo a fitness test before tonight's game.

Kenny said: "We hope to get back to winning ways in the league, we had a good performance against Bohs in the League Cup at the Brandywell, beating them 4-1, and we would very much like to replicate that form in the league.

"We had been in good form at home but there have been a few slip-ups recently and we are keen to put them behind us.

"Bray have beaten us earlier in the campaign, so we know it will be a tough encounter, but we will be looking for a good performance and hopefully the three points."

For Wanderers, Gavin Whelan will miss the trip to Derry as he serves a one-match ban following his sending off in the League Cup tie against Galway United.

Skipper Colm Tresson is also ruled out with a hamstring injury, while goalkeeper Chris O'Connor is away with the Australian Olympic squad.

Bray boss Eddie Gormley said: "I am looking forward to getting back to league action and looking for a performance that will get us moving again."
