Newcastle owner Mike Ashley has hinted he could follow the QPR model as he looks for new investors.

The billionaire confirmed yesterday that he was hoping to find partners to assist him in his efforts to restore the club’s fortunes, perhaps mirroring the position at Loftus Road, where Flavio Briatore, Bernie Ecclestone and Lakshmi Mittal have joined forces to fund a new beginning.
