Liverpool poised to sign Cavalieri

Liverpool were today expected to complete the £3m signing of Palmeiras goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri, their third major deal of the summer.

Sources in Brazil confirm the player completed his medical yesterday and a work permit has been acquired.
