Bohs rip Drogheda dream to sunders
Drogheda Town's FAI Cup dream ended emphatically as they were torn apart by Bohemians, 3-0 at Dalymount.
John Paul Kelly shot home the opener after a flowing move on 14 minutes with Jason Byrne adding a second before the break. It would have been more but for several brilliant stops by Town keeper Gabriel Sabatini.
Byrne then sealed Bohs fourth round passage with his second goal of the night on 87 minutes.
There was no joy either for cup newboys Liffeys Pearce who conceded a goal to Kevin Deery inside a minute at the Brandywell as they were beaten 2-0 by Derry City.
The Candystirpes didn't seal their berth in the next round until the 82nd minute, however, when Mark Farren shot home.
Holders Cork City beat Limerick 37 2-0 at Jackman Park with goals from Dave Mooney, a 56th minute penalty, and a Darren Murphy header ten minutes from time.
