Tasty ties in quarter-final cup draw

Eircom League of Ireland Cup holders Derry City will meet Bohemians in the quarter-finals of this year’s competition, in a re-enactment of last season’s final.

Eircom League of Ireland Cup holders Derry City will meet Bohemians in the quarter-finals of this year’s competition, in a re-enactment of last season’s final.

The Candystripes defeated Bohemians in the final of last season’s competition but the Gypsies will get a chance to avenge that result when they travel to the Brandywell for a Quarter Final tie this season.

Premier Division champions Drogheda United will face Cork City at United Park, while Galway United will host Bray Wanderers. Wexford Youths, the only First Division club remaining in the competition, will travel to the UCD Bowl to face Pete Mahon’s UCD.

The full draw for the eircom League of Ireland Cup quarter-finals is as follows:

Galway United v Bray Wanderers

UCD v Wexford Youths

Derry City v Bohemians

Drogheda United v Cork City

The ties will take place midweek in the week commencing Monday, June 30.
