Inter to sign Konko

Italian champions Internazionale are set to complete their first new signing of the summer with Genoa’s Abdoulay Konko undergoing a medical on Monday.

The defensive midfielder has agreed terms with the Nerazzurri after catching the eye during an impressive debut season in Serie A, though the clubs are yet to reach an agreement over the terms of the transfer.

The 24-year-old started his career with Genoa’s youth team and has spent time with Juventus, Crotone and Siena before returning to Genoa at the start of last season.
