Croatian midfielder Ognjen Vukojevic claims it would be “an honour” to play for Celtic after being linked with a move to Parkhead.

The 24-year-old wants his future resolved before travelling to represent his country at Euro 2008.

A move to Celtic could become an option for Vukojevic, however at this stage the Clydesdale Bank Premier League leaders have not publicly confirmed any interest in him.

Vukojevic said in the Scottish Sun: “I would be thrilled to join a club of Celtic’s standing.

“They are well known throughout the world and it would be an honour to play for them.”
