Rangers hold two-goal lead at the break
St Mirren 0 Rangers 2
Rangers needed goals against St Mirren to boost their Clydesdale Bank Premier League title hopes and boasted a 2-0 lead at half-time at Love Street.
Kris Boyd opened the scoring with just four minutes on the clock to give the Ibrox club hope of a goal-fest in the opening 45 minutes.
That did not happen but Jean-Claude Darcheville was on target midway through the first half to provide a healthy advantage.
