Cerny agrees QPR contract

Tottenham goalkeeper Radek Cerny has agreed a two-year contract with Coca-Cola Championship side QPR.

The 34-year-old Czech has been on loan at White Hart Lane from Slavia Prague since 2005 and this season displaced England keeper Paul Robinson in the Spurs first team, but he is now swapping north London for a move to the ambitious west Londoners.

QPR have also completed the signing of defender Peter Ramage from Newcastle.

Ramage, 24, has agreed a three-year deal at Loftus Road after Toon manager Kevin Keegan admitted he could not guarantee him first-team football at St James’ Park.

QPR, who are expected to be among the favourites for promotion next season with the heavy investment from Bernie Ecclestone, Flavio Briatore and Lakshmi Mittal, are still without a manager after parting company with Luigi De Canio last week.

Former Hoops striker Iain Dowie has been linked with the role.
