Rooney and Vidic out of United team

Manchester United suffered a double blow with Wayne Rooney and Nemanja Vidic ruled out of this Champions League semi-final second leg match.

Rooney took a knock to the hip in the defeat by Chelsea at the weekend while Vidic suffered a facial injury.

Manager Alex Ferguson made six changes to his side as they looked to book a place in the final in Moscow with the scores locked at 0-0.

Top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo returned to the starting line-up along with Carlos Tevez, Owen Hargreaves, Patrice Evra, Paul Scholes and Park Ji-Sung.

Former Arsenal star Thierry Henry had to settle for a place on the Barcelona bench.
