Derry had the better chances at Dalymount and left the more disappointed side as Bohemians weren't good enough to go top of the table.

The sides cancelled each other out in a disappointing first half.

Derry, though, should have trooped off at the break a goal to the good from the only real chance on 14 minutes.

Gareth McGlynn got on the end of Owen Morrison's superb cross, but planted his header straight at keeper Brian Murphy.

Derry also created the best opening of the second half on 72 minutes when Morrison's low shot from outside the box shaved Murphy's right-hand post.
