Swiss warm-up for Man City

Manchester City will begin their preparations for next season in Switzerland.

City have confirmed they will tackle FC Lucerne on July 8 and FC Basle four days later.

Sven-Goran Eriksson’s men could follow up with an Intertoto Cup tie later in the month, although to qualify via the Premier League they would have to overhaul either Everton or Aston Villa, who meet at Goodison Park tomorrow while City entertain virtually doomed Fulham at Eastlands.
