West Brom striker Kevin Phillips has branded speculation claiming he has turned down a new contract and will leave the club in the summer as “nonsense”.

Phillips, whose current deal expires this summer, has scored 24 goals to help the Baggies to the verge of promotion back to the Barclays Premier League.
