A controversial penalty earned Bohemians a point as Bray left Dalymount fuming with referee Hugo Whoriskey.

Whoriskey awarded Bohs a 65th minute penalty when Gary Cronin appeared to have won the ball off John Paul Kelly and Jason Byrne fired home from the spot. So incensed were Bray they had three players booked for dissent.

Bohs were a mess at the back early on and mistakes from Brian Murphy and then Liam Burns, who fouled Ger Rowe, gifted Bray a penalty after three minutes which Alan Cawley.

Rowe brought a tip-over save from Murphy before Bohs began to play.

Bray keeper Chris O'Connor made good saves from Glen Crowe and Mark Rossiter before Byrne was guilty of a dreadful miss on 39 minutes when blazing over the bar.

Bray might then have won it late on but for misses by Cawley and Mark Duggan.
