Smith set to make changes

Rangers manager Walter Smith will wait until tomorrow before deciding how much to shuffle his side for Sunday’s Scottish Cup tie against Partick Thistle following their UEFA Cup success over Sporting Lisbon.

Smith is likely to make changes to ease the pressure on his players after a 2-0 win in Portugal saw Rangers through to the last four of the competition.

David Weir is back in contention for the quarter-final replay after missing the European clash through suspension, while Charlie Adam will again be sidelined with a knee injury.

Provisional squad: McGregor, Broadfoot, Cuellar, Dailly, Whittaker, Naismith, McCulloch, Davis, Thomson, Burke, Novo, Boyd, Alexander, Weir, Cousin, Furman, Smith, Hemdani.
