Manchester City striker Valeri Bojinov made his comeback for the reserves following a eight-month absence with a knee injury.

Coach Ian Miller was pleased with the way the Bulgarian performed after coming on for the last 20 minutes in the 2-1 defeat by Liverpool.

“Valeri did very well and he could have scored with virtually his first touch, ” Miller told www.mcfc.co.uk.

“It was nice to see him get some match action under his belt after so long.”
