Dailly set for defensive duty

Rangers manager Walter Smith has no fresh injury worries ahead of tomorrow’s UEFA Cup quarter-final second leg against Sporting Lisbon.

Carlos Cuellar recovered from a flu bug and travelled to Portugal, however fellow centre-back David Weir misses out through suspension which should result in Christian Dailly moving back into defence.

Daniel Cousin will also play some part in the game after recovering from a broken jaw but Charlie Adam remains sidelined with a knee injury.

Provisional squad: McGregor, Papac, Dailly, Broadfoot, Ferguson, Hemdani, Thomson, Darcheville, Cuellar, McCulloch, Davis, Alexander, Boyd, Novo, Burke, Whittaker, Cousin, Naismith.
