Respecitve Goalkeepers Mick Devine and James McCarthy made superb late stops as this first Cork league derby in 13 years finished goalless at St. Colman's Park.

Cobh had the only real chance of the first half from a bizarre incident on 25 minutes.

Cork keeper Devine, on the edge of his area, miscues a pass to skipper Dan Murray towards his own goal with Cillian Lordan having to clear off the line.

Both keepers then made great stops over the last five minutes. McCarthy first saved superbly from George O'Callaghan before Devine excelled at the other end to deprive Conor Meade.

Cobh will be happier with the point as title hopefuls Cork still await a first league win under new boss Alan Mathews.
