A terrific goal from Dessie Baker capped a comfortable win for Shamrock Rovers to move them up to second in the table.

Former Hoops striker Ger Rowe ought to have given Bray the lead on 12 minutes, but saw his shot cleared off the line by Pat Flynn.

Rovers then took the lead within a minute when John Martin's low cross was flicked to the net by Alan Murphy for his second goal of the season.

Any hope of Bray getting back into the match all but ended on 48 minutes when Gary McCabe was sent off for a second yellow card after clashing with Barry Ferguson.

Baker then struck on 65 minutes to blast the ball to the net after being played through by Darragh Maguire.
