Conor Sammon snatched a last -gasp equaliser to maintain Derry's unbeaten start to the season as Cork still await their first league win.

Striker Sammon got on the end of Kevin McHugh's low cross to stretch out a leg and force home his first goal for the club.

Cork took the lead after 12 minutes with a first goal for the club for Dave Mooney.

Last season's Premier Division topscorer controlled the ball well just outside the box and drilled a superb shot past Gerard Doherty.

John O'Flynn should have doubled Cork's early in the second half but for a good save from Doherty.

Another chance was wasted by Cork midway through the second half when Liam Kearney headed straight at Doherty from Mooney's flick form a Neal Horgan cross. A miss they were left to rue late on.
