Megson makes nine changes for trip to Wigan
Bolton manager Gary Megson made an unsurprising nine changes to his side for the vital Premier League relegation showdown with local rivals Wigan at the JJB Stadium.
Goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi and defender Gary Cahill were the only survivors from Thursday’s 1-0 UEFA Cup last-16 second-leg defeat at Sporting Lisbon.
Kevin Nolan returned from a back injury to captain the Whites, with Gretar Steinsson, Andy O’Brien, Ricardo Gardner, Tamir Cohen, Ivan Campo, Matt Taylor, El- Hadji Diouf and Kevin Davies also included.
In stark contrast, Wigan boss Steve Bruce named an unchanged line-up for the third successive game.
