Galway earn point at Cobh with late strike

Winger Derek O'Brien hit a late equaliser as Galway came from behind to earn a point at St. Colman's Park.

Kieran O'Reilly, who had set up Davin O'Neill who shot wide in the only chance of note in the first half, put Cobh in front on 63 minutes.

Defender Kevin Murray put the ball back across goal after Galway failed to clear a corner and O'Reilly blasted the ball to the roof of the net.

But Galway hit back 12 minutes later.

Gary Deegan set up winger O'Brien and his powerful shot took a deflection off a defender to beat James McCarthy in the Ramblers goal.
