A stunning Keith Fahey goal kept St Patrick's Athletic at the top of the Premier Division table tonight in a Dublin derby that was marred by three red cards.

Midfielder Fahey brought the game to life on 15 minutes with a sublime long-range strike to the roof of Brian Murphy's net for what proved the winner.

The other talking points were reserved for late on, when Saints' first had Des Byrne dismissed on 80 minutes for a second booking.

Five minutes later, all hell broke lose and after a right melee, Saints' keeper Barry Ryan and Bohs' winger Killian Brennan were dismissed as the game ended on a very sour note.
