Everton defender Joleon Lescott has agreed a new deal which will keep him at Goodison Park until the summer of 2012, the club have announced.

The 25-year-old joined the Toffees from Wolves in the summer of 2006 and he has grown to be recognised as one of the most assured young defenders in the Barclays Premier League.
