Barnsley dump out Chelsea in shock 1-0 win

Kayode Odejayi scored a sensational second-half winner as Barnsley sent FA Cup holders Chelsea crashing out after a thrilling quarter-final tie at Oakwell.
The big Tykes striker climbed above the Barclays Premier League giants’ defence to head home Martin Devaney’s superb cross in the 65th minute to send most of a sell-out crowd into raptures.
Simon Davey’s giant-killers pulled off one of the upsets of the season to dump Liverpool out of the competition in the previous round at Anfield and staggered the football world with another stunning win.
Devaney was replaced by Sam Togwell and Chelsea manager Grant sent on Claudio Pizarro for Belletti with 17 minutes left.
Cole’s trickery saw him burst into the box as Chelsea looked to get back on terms and his pass found Wright-Phillips who turned sharply to fire over the crossbar.
Odejayi received a rousing send-off when he was replaced by Michael Coulson in the 79th minute and the Oakwell faithful began to believe they could hold on and complete a shock win.
Chelsea looked physically jarred by the goal, they lost their earlier cohesion and found it difficult to open up the home side, who had every man bar Ferenczi back behind the ball.
Terry blazed high and wide when well-placed in the area and although Chelsea were queueing up to get in a shot as the clock ticked down, the Tykes held out for another historic win.
