Saints must plan without Paisley
Title contenders St Patrick’s Athletic will be hoping to get their season off to the perfect start when they take on Sligo Rovers in tonight’s eircom League of Ireland opener.
Saints must plan without former Longford star Stephen Paisley through suspension.
Joseph Ndo is struggling with a knee injury and is unlikely to start, while Bobby Ryan may miss out due to personal commitments.
Rovers will have to field a weakened side as Gavin Peers, Séamus Coleman and Danny Ventre are all ruled out of the trip to Dublin through suspension, while Steve Feeney is also missing with a groin strain.
And former St Pat’s player Anto Murphy will line out against his former club.
Kick-off at Richmond Park is at 7.45pm.
