Barnes blow for Rams

Derby midfielder Giles Barnes will miss tomorrow’s Barclays Premier League game with Sunderland at Pride Park.

The 19-year-old picked up a knee injury in training this week and will undergo a scan later today to establish the extent of the problem.

Manager Paul Jewell remains without defenders Claude Davis and Tyrone Mears due to long-term injuries, while Dean Leacock faces a late fitness test on a hip problem.
