Brady given permission to talk to Trappatoni
Liam Brady has confirmed that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has given him the go-ahead to talk to new Republic of Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni regarding a role in the international set-up.
Speaking on tonight’s upcoming ‘The Premiership’ programme, Brady said that Trapattoni called him after his appointment, asking if he wanted to be involved.
"[Wenger] has given me the green light to go ahead to speak to Trapattoni, as long as I don’t feel it's going to interfere with what I do at Arsenal" said Brady.
Brady will be maintaining his job as head of youth development and academy director at Arsenal however, and Wegner has insisted that any role with the Republic of Ireland should not interfere with this.
Brady said that he is due to speak to Trapattoni at some point this week.
