The Ukrainian will certainly miss the first leg of Liverpool’s Champions League clash with Inter Milan next month.

Defender Alvaro Arbeloa (abdominal injury) will be out for two weeks and misses tomorrow’s FA Cup fourth round home tie with Havant and Waterlooville.

Rafael Benitez is likely to field players who did not start against Aston Villa on Monday. That could mean Steve Finnan, Charles Itandje, Lucas, Peter Crouch, Xabi Alonso and Ryan Babel being in the starting line-up.
